These events include short courses, workshops and seminars. EGRU also runs small and large conferences, either on its own or in collaboration with national and international geoscience societies, attracting speakers and delegates from around the world.

The EGRU professional development short course program offers several courses each year, either online, on campus, or in the field. The courses are presented by industry professionals and discipline specialists who have extensive experience in their fields. The program is designed for exploration and mining geoscientists ranging from early career to highly experienced. Some course modules are also suited to senior and postgraduate tertiary students.
